Top five reasons to explore different aspects of space.

With the sudden shutdown of NASA’s space program and then Russia not sending anyone into space anymore, why do they still have the urge to explore space? Scientists know there is so much more out there and they want to find out about it. But still why do they have space explorations?

The first reason is curiosity. In order to explore space, you have to be nosy. Going out there with a robotic machine and coming back with amazing pictures and samples does make you a bit curious. How it looks, what it’s made of, how it feels, is there more of it, etc.

The second reason is inspiration. Seeing all this happen and having that desire can push you to get math and science degrees. Having more people major in math and science degrees will help continue the path of space exploration.

The third reason is to answer questions. With curiosity scientists hope to answer questions about how space was formed. By going into space, they may be one step closer to answering these questions.

The fourth reason is future survival. With Earth to be the only place of life confirmed, we need another place to go if something were to happen to keep our civilizations alive.

The final reason is perspective. We learn about our place in the universe and how big the universe actually is. We learn how small and fragile Earth is compared to other planets, stars, moons, and the sun. Looking at these discoveries and more already made humbles you. Soak it all in.

Exploring different aspects of space is the only way to achieve the full benefit. With the future of outer space explorations dying, it is more important than ever to get people interested in space and keep the dream of discovery alive.
